Autumn Fertilization Was Done at Iğdır University Almond Experimental Garden
Fall fertilization was carried out in the Almond Experimental Garden established in 2019 at Iğdır University's Suveren Campus, consisting of Nonpareil, Karmel, Ferragnes, Ferraduel, Bertina, Lauranne, and Marta varieties. In this study, conducted as part of educational activities, students gained valuable cultivation experience by applying TSP (Triple Super Phosphate) fertilizer to the trees under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ersin GÜLSOY.
During the workshop, students were informed about the importance of fall fertilization for almond tree winter readiness, root development, and spring shoot quality. This not only reinforced their theoretical knowledge but also provided them with the opportunity to see firsthand the practical aspects of phosphorus fertilizer use in almond cultivation.
