A vineyard was established in the campus area of our university
Our grape collection vineyard, which contains approximately 950 grapevine saplings and 20 varieties, is planned to be used in education and research activities. In addition, this study, which is an adaptation, will be important in terms of regional viticulture.
Iğdır University started hazelnut trials
Saplings of “Tombul, Çakıldak and Yomra”, which are important hazelnut varieties of our country, which has a say in hazelnut production in the world, were planted in TUAM trial area. In the following stages of the study, the adaptation capacities of these varieties to Igdir climate will be monitored and trial varieties will be increased.
